ABOUT ME
Update 11/13/13: What I've learned is that I travel more to meet people and explore their lives then I do to see land marks. I really enjoy interesting people with unique stories and adventures, I find them to be very inspiring! I also like to go for dinner and drinks, CS for me isn't for a place to crash but more for finding friends that want to have a good time...and saving money on a hotel is money than can be spent put toward having fun!
Older:
I finished up school in January of 2013 and I'm very excited to explore the world, make new friends, study cultures, and enhance my living experience!
PHILOSOPHY
I live to learn, it's a life long process.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As an international traveler:
I'm either traveling for work or because I'm interested in studying your culture. For work trips I usually end up staying for an extra weekend and generally speaking I want to sample and experience all the stuff I don't get to see in the US and tourist don't get to experience. Truth is I'm a terrible tourist, I really just like making friend and telling funny stories
As a motorcycle traveler:
Updated 11/13/13: I've driven my motorcycle across the country and it was an unbelievable experience. Being so involved with a machine and the environment for so long pushed me in a way that I had never pushed so aggressively before. So after these long rides of sitting with myself for so long I tend to be very chatty.
I have mini weekend adventures where I set off in general directions taking all back roads to finally end up someplace I haven't been before. Over the past two years of doing this I've exhausted my out of town friends and am looking for new friends in new towns.
As a domestic traveler:
I've usually got some plan or some goofy challenge that I'm working on that leads to an adventure or eventful story. For example this spring I plan to buy a car for less than $500, drive to Buffalo to pick up a load of race car parts, then drive to Chicago to meet up with my race team to work on the L7 (race car) for this season of LeMONs racing. I'm sure the car will break down is some crazy location and I'll have to figure out the logistics to pull off this challenge...and this is what I consider fun! Also, I'm sometimes I can be pretty unknowingly resourceful so I love challenges to see how MacGyver I really am.
As a Host:
If you need a place to stay for the evening, climbing buddy, motorcycle buddy, drinking buddy, mountain biking buddy, Top Gear watching buddy, or you just want make a new friend I'm happy to be a host. Depending on when you put in your request you'll either get a room or a couch as I'm currently in the process of upgrading my diggs to a more diggalicious location.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
11/13/13: I've gotten some experience and so far they have all been very positive and rewarding. I'm fond of these experiences and and grateful for the opportunities I've had.
No formal experience but I've spent my fare amount of time couch surfing on my weekend motorcycle tours and self induced 'challenges'.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Although not encouraged or recommended the most amazing experience I've had was driving a sports car though West Virginian mountains during a lightning storm at night with Rodrigo y Gabriella feeding my adrenaline.
The most amazing site I've seen was while standing on top of a wind turbine watching the sun set at 10:30pm in Bahce Turkey
