Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love an adventure and the opportunity to meet new souls. Travel has always been an unreachable dream of mine, but as of June '14 ( couple months before my 29th birthday) I dedicated myself to reaching that dream. In February 2015 I started a 2 month trip around the world! Which is why I started on Couchsurfing. Now my fiancé, Karina, and I enjoy meeting like-minded people. What better way to see new places, meet new people , and experience different cultures than right here! The news paints the world an awful and dangerous place, but I'm not buying it. The beauty of most, far out shines the ugliness of the few.

Interests

Jeff: Anything outside. I spend my summers boating and playing sand volleyball. And my winters snowboarding and sitting in front of fire places (real or YouTube). Enjoy watching live sports or catching games on TV.

Karina: I'm less sporty... I love walking new places, cool architecture, visiting museums, taking photos, finding cute coffee shops, and reading.

Music, Movies, and Books

Jeff: Mostly country music but anything new, live and outdoors! Enjoy a good comedy movie or horror flick. Tho not much time for movies these days.

Karina: Fantasy, period pieces, whatever is trending on Netflix

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jeff: Circumnavigate the world but at the time of writing this I have not done it yet, only planned it.

Karina: Saw a whale shark on my first dive while in Panama. Jeff didn't see it :) Also climbed Fuji and got a wonderful souvenir.!

Teach, Learn, Share

Jeff: I can teach you how to milk a cow. Haha. Want to learn how to play guitar.

Karina: I'm studying sustainability so I can chat about some of the awful ways we are hurting the planet (and each other) but also some of the amazing ways people are making it better. I love learning different crafts and hobbies. Open to recipe sharing since I can't cook without them.
