I have a master's in urban planning (as well as civil engineering). I'm an advocate for sustainable transportation and development - making transit more viable and reducing dependency on the car.

Movies: Freedom Writers, Latter Days. Generally, dramas that are deep and make you think. I enjoy young adult humor type of movies as well such as Eurotrip.

Music: a little of everything - hip hop, pop, R&B, punk, alternative, new age, dance.

Books: Teach with Your Heart by Erin Gruwell, Human Transit by Jarrett Walker, The Death and Life of the Great American School System by Diane Ravitch

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Staying in Gimmelwald in the Swiss Alps while backpacking in Europe. Gorgeous mountains. I went bungee jumping while there - much outside my comfort zone, but now a source of pride :).
