About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission at the moment is to make more friends in more places, so that we can be as useful as possible to eachother. I will go the extra mile to help someone, And i hope when i need it, someone will be here to pick up my slack too.
ABOUT ME
Hi everyone, I'm Dan. I am currently 30. My free time is often spent Chatting, playing videogames, or sometimes going to random places with friends. I love nature, but i don't get to see enough of it. I'm not a fan of winter or snow, but it's a fact of life up here.
On tuesday nights i participate in a group called the SCA, we organize Renaissance faire style events. It's a very educational experience, i've taken a lot away from it, and hopefully i'll be able to learn something, and bring something back to them.
PHILOSOPHY
I try not to take life too seriously, or worry about the little things when i don't need to. I feel like people should all live in a situation with as little stress as possible. Life should be fun, and happy. Not rough and miserable.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently I am unable to offer a place to stay. I hope in the future that I will be more able to travel, and can try meeting some of the wonderful people I'm sure are out there.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've not surfed myself, but i've hosted twice and both events went well. I will gladly host again.
Interests
I love fantasy and sci-fi stories. Dragons, swords, and magic almost always get my attention. I play D&D when i get the chance, and i collect Magic: The Gathering cards. I play videogames, usually things like lotro and minecraft.

Music, Movies, and Books
I've got a soft spot for terrible low budget zombie movies. I Like to watch comedies or horror movies a lot. I also read quite a bit. Often in the sci-fi / fantasy genre again. R. A. Salvatore and Piers Anthony are my favorite authors. I'm also a big fan of Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth books. As for music, There isn't any music that i will refuse to listen to. I find that each genre is going to have songs that just aren't very good, and some that are great.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can't teach you to be the best at anything. there are many things i know how to do on more than a rudimentary level, and i try to know a little about a lot. It's difficult to pinpoint my own strengths of knowledge, but i consider myself a thinker. If our conversation carries us to something you'd like to learn about, I cannot expect to know everything you want, but i might know enough on the topic to give you that teaser of info that's enough to whet your appetite for learning, and get you to look into it when you're ready.
As learning goes, I'm always up to learn more. If i pick up a few words in another language, or a physical skill, or learn how to calculate or compare something new, judge the quality of something, or even just learn about you, and the people you care about, I'm learning. and if i'm learning, there stands a good chance i'm happy.
