About Me
I am a writer/poet/performer currently studying in Sheffield. I used to have my own flat but now I live in student accommodation so things are a bit more cramped. There's probably comfier measures around Sheffield- but a sleeping bag is always welcome. (My sofas are very uncomfortable. Wayyy too uncomfortable.)
Poetry is what I love and have always loved and it's sort of my life now. I love writing and languages and last year I took a year out to decided which to study and somehow I've managed to do both.
If you're interested in Myers-Briggs I'm an ENFP
I've travelled around a lot in and plan to do more in the future, but for now, I can try and host people in the UK!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm really a person who feels a bit choked by the concept of permanence- so I really value the community couchsurfing has built. I was thinking of joining for a long time, and I finally have gotten around to doing it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once I heard one of my favourite celebrities was arriving at Heathrow on my last day in London. So I went to the small gathering to meet them (they're from Korea- pls don't judge)
I ended up staying longer than I should have and missed my train home back to Nottingham. At some point whilst waiting for the celebrity I accepted the fact I was going to be late.
What I didn't realise was last minute trains were £60. I was like hell no......, ,,, So I took the tube to Victoria Coach Station knowing the tickets would only be £20.
I got there. The ticket office was closed. My heart sank. But I didn't panic because I knew drivers could accept cash. So I found the gate with the next Nottingham coach and he says: The ticket office is closed but you should go use self service.
So I had to miss that coach, and get the next one. So I go print off my tickets, and there's been a mistake. The machine or my lapse of focus- The ticket is to Birmingham. and I don't know where to go... Eventually I find the customer support office and they're really rude to me to the point that I start crying until they find a solution. The solution is that the Nottingham ticket is slightly more so I pay the coach driver the extra.
When I get to the coach, the driver asks me to step aside and again my guy drops. Luckily he recognised me or was just really kind, but he took the ticket and let me keep my money and I was safely on a coach to Nottingham.
I was really tired and emotional exhausted, I put my phone on charge, and set an alarm to nap for 20 minutes. I woke up hours later, already having missed the Nottingham drop off. The coach turns out, was going all the way North to Leeds, and just pulling into Sheffield. It was 4am. I had 5minutes to decide if i should stay all the way to Leeds since I had friends there it get off now. I got off, knowing it would be more expensive to get back.
I knew the train station was around somewhere, so I walked until I found it. I bought a ticket home for the first train out- which was at 5.30 am. Making sure I concentrated on choosing the right destination. The train station turns out, was completely unheated and I had to spend 1 1/2 hours freezing and layering up with clothes from my suitcase. There were also some missing menacing drunks that I hid away from.
On the train back, I called my foster parents and begged them to pick me up from the station. I got home at 7am. and slept til the next day.
And that's the story of how I managed to make a simple 3hour journey into a 12hour one.
