Hey everyone, my name is Jelena, I am from Germany and I am 21 years old...Currently I am studying Psychology at Leuphana university Lüneburg and I am loving it so far!
I was living and volunteering in Sucre, Bolivia for a year before starting university, which has been an amazing experience!
I love diving into different cultures, getting to know many local people as well as travellers, enjoying the beautiful landscapes and learning other languages. I want to see different realities, try new things, learn from my experiences (good and bad) and enjoy life!
I would say I am quite open, friendly, reliable and most of the time happy ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to get to know local people while traveling and I also want to welcome people from different countries in my home. I think Couchsurfing is a great opportunity to exchange cultures, opinions and ideas. I love that it is not commercial and everyone just does it because they want to, not for the money.
During the semester I miss traveling a lot which is why I am happy to welcome travelers from all over the world in my home and thereby appease my wanderlust.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I have seen so far was going to the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, the wide and miraculously beautiful salt flats just made me feel so small and humble and I realised what a gift it is to live on this planet earth.
