About Me
I just finished studying and now I'm planning to do some travelling before I search for a job. My first travel takes me to the States, where I will visit friends in New York and North Carolina. I want to visit some other cities too, so I'm looking for people who want to host me and show me around in their neighbourhood. I know I don't have any references, but I'm just getting started here... For the moment I'm not able to host people, because I still live with my parents. But when I find a job, make money and can afford my own place, I'll definitely host!
Not easy to describe yourself in my opinion, but I'll give it a try. I'm a pretty relaxed guy, I never panic and I will always try to act rationally. I like to explore and be active, but I maybe like the chill moments in between even more. Just hang out and enjoy the moment. On my travels so far I learned that the people you are spending time with are probably more important than the place you're at. And that's the main reason I'm on Couchsurfing. So be my host if you think you'll be nice company for me! I'll try to be nice company for you! And oh yeah, I'll try to be funny. Please laugh from time to time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet interesting people while I travel all around the world.
Interests
Sports are my main interest. I like playing tennis and soccer amongst other sports, but I also watch sports at every occasion and I write about it. I work as a sports journalist in the weekends and I hope to make it my fulltime job in the near future.
Ofcourse I'm interested in other cultures and exploring as much of the globe as possible. I like big cities but I like a bit smaller cities even more. I'd like to be your host in my Belgian city Ghent soon, cause I really think it's perfect.
As a Belgian, I like my beer every now and then. Like on an almost daily basis. I can bring you some if possible if you host me! We have the best beer in the world and I would like to convince you if you disagree. Oh and French fries don't exist. It's Belgian fries actually. I'm just spreading the word.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I like different genres, but electronic music, EDM and alternative & indie rock are my favourites. Think Tomorrowland (another awesome thing about Belgium), but also bands like Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, Muse or Foo Fighters...
Books: I don't really read a lot. But as a journalist I read many newspapers, magazines and online articles. Now I'm done studying, I'll maybe make time to read a bit more. Probably biographies of athletes.
Movies: Tarantino movies are amongst my favourites (I probably enjoyed Pulp Fiction and Django Unchained the most) and I like basically every movie with Denzel Washington or Leonardo DiCaprio because they're great actors.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My five months Erasmus stay in Sevilla was eye opening for me. It made me feel like seeing more of the world and meeting people who have something to say and do.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: everything about Belgian beer and other interesting things about the little, but awesome country called Belgium.
Learn: everything about cultures around the world.
Share: awesome moments!
