ABOUT ME

Hi my name is Jelle. I graduated as an engineer and before I started my professional career, I wanted to see the world. I did that from july 21nd 2013 until july 31 2014. Traveling has been my passion for many years now and it will be for many years to come. I moved for my job to Italy which gives me the opportunity to discover southern Europe and meet some move people.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For everybody who wants a bigger experience than just the city itself, my place is available. I live about 20 minutes away from Varese, Como and Lugano by car. If somebody surfs at my place, I will gladly show them around or go have a drink with them if I have the time.

Intereses

I am very passionate about music. I love all sorts of music and if I'm in Belgium, I visit a lot of festivals. I also enjoy going out of just have a drink in a local bar. Meeting new people is a way of life for me and I'm very interested in different cultures.

I'm also a sport fanatic and enjoy pretty much every sport. I played soccer myself for over 15 years and skateboarded about 10. Once or twice every year I go snowboarding and I also went surfing for a few summers in France and Spain.

Music: I like all sorts of genres but if I have to choose some favorite bands I would say the Hives, Daft Punk, Michael Jackson, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Dr. Dre, ACDC, Air Traffic, Blink 182, Boys Noize, Cypress Hill, Eminem, Jimmy Eat World, Queen, The Rolling Stones, ...

Books: The game, all quiet on the western front, fever pitch, ...

Algo increíble que he hecho

In February 2012 I went to Panama and Costa Rica with fellow students, a few of us decided to climb the Volcán Barú. It took me about 4 hours to get to the top. I was a very hard and exhausting climb but I never felt more happy about myself when I finally reached the top.

Top places visited must be Medellín, Machu Picchu, Annapurna trail, Siem Reap and the safaris in Kruger park and Serengeti.
