About Me

I've got a dry, sarcastic sense of humor; oddly enough I've got a big heart. I love to laugh, and I curse like a sailor. I love showing people New Orleans' hidden gems: from uptown coffee shops to the plentiful weekly soul dance parties downtown; from the 'treehouses' made of Hurricane Katrina scraps to 'The End of the World.'

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My good friend hosts surfers, and I've met plenty of awesome people from her!

So, I'd like to meet even MORE people as I start traveling again.

Interests

I go bowling at least twice a week. I like creating mixed media, like shadow box art and voodoo dolls. I like listening to records, discovering Little Free Libraries, finding a new restaurant/bar, going to free shows, and hosting dinners. I like writing things in a calendar and being spontaneous. I have a BUTT TON of lists. I'm going back to school for Rad Tech!

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh, I love different genres of music - avant garde, soul, gypsy swing, doo wop, freak folk, rockabilly, experimental, dnb, Funky things, Punky things, jazzy beats, ambient tones, spaced out downtempo --- fusions of all kind. I'm currently (sloooowly) reading Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk. I've just finished watching Four Rooms, which I thought was cheesy and hilarious!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've traveled to Neenach, California to sleep in the desert near a friends house for a few nights. Liberating. Loved the stars.

I've had the best Halloween in 2012 right here in New Orleans! :) More to come!

In 2015, I went on a Mediterranean cruise! It all felt like a blur; I definitely owe Barcelona another visit.

Teach, Learn, Share

Radiolab is my favorite podcasts. I'm always learning new and interesting things from it. The NYC duo talks about subjects such as science, philosophy, and lots of tear jerkers. Jear terkers. Peer twerkers.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Wine and cheese. Bunch of high 5s. One inappropriate joke. Just one.

Countries I’ve Visited

England, France, Greece, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Wales
