About Me
Hello stranger, my name is Jelmer I currently live in Antwerp, which is a small city in Belgium, although locals might try to convince you it's the greatest city of all.
Luckily for you, I'm no true local. Born in the Netherlands, I fell in love with the city a few years ago. Now I run a small design studio called 'De Vulkaan' (if you're interested take a peek at, http://www.devulkaan.com and let me know what you think). Occasionally I love some time off the screen and get my hands dirty 'literally', I've become increasingly more interested in ceramics, pottery to be more precise.
Other than that I'm always up for a good conversation, a beer or spending time outside, fortunately you can perfectly combine these three in one of Antwerp's fine bars. It doesn't matter if you're passing trough the city, you're a local and look for a new friend or in the city for a couple of days, send me a message and hopefully we can meet.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music but my problems is I rarely remember names of artists, writers or actors. Chances are I've probably did hear your favourite tune, but just won't remember the artist name. I'm not your ideal partner for a pop-quiz.
Music: Moderat, Olafur Arnalds, The Knive, Ben Howard, Blood Orange, Frank Ocean, Paul Kalkbrenner, ...
Almost all movies by: Guy Ritchie or Wes Anderson
The one book I remember reading most: Dune by Frank Herbert
Oh and lots of Tv-series...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Happy to have talk about this one.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to learn things about the world and different cultures. Certainly when its brought to you by experienced people, who travelled and lived in different places.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Depends on what you bring out of me, I consider myself quiet easy going and happy to share in the experience. We'll have a great time.
