ABOUT ME

I am in Martinique, the French-speaking Caribbean as part of an Erasmus year abroad from University. I spend my time hanging out on the beach, trying new things and meeting new people. In my spare time I teach English in two schools.
I am friendly, open-minded and definitely not shy. I love talking to everyone and anyone and discussing experiences. I am usually the first one up on the dancefloor, but I also enjoy evenings in hanging out with my amazing friends.

I love languages, especially French. I love watching tv and films, shopping til I drop (when I'm not too poor from student life.) I like playing football, clubbing and ice-skating. i even have my own boots. Recent interests include kayaking, archery and trapeze! I am also interested in politics, international current affairs and generally the world around me and so will very happily engage in friendly debate.

I like music with an interesting drumbeat and am open to all genres. I especially like hiphop, reggaeton, dancehall, 90's britpop, house, cheeesy pop, dance, motown, DnB, dubstep electro, jazz...If indeed music can be split so clearly into different genres.
My favourite type of books are historically-based, or social commentaries. For example, Ben Elton books, "1984" (Orwell), "To Kill a Mocking Bird" (Lee) and "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (Shakespeare), .
Depending on my mood I enjoy movies from The "American Pie" trilogy and "Mean Girls" to "V for Vendetta" and "Saving Private Ryan."
