About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Motorbike explorer - jumping into the unknown, doing the dance of making the most of what comes my way and creating the opportunities for magical life enriching experiences.

ABOUT ME

I'm pretty laid back and open minded. My aim is to be open hearted and accepting as best I can. I'm travelling for the next few months in the USA on my own and by motorbike, which is my dream trip! I'm looking forward to meeting diverse open hearted and minded folk and to soak in the USA in all it's great variety. I love hanging out and chatting and finding out about people's different lifestyles. Ultimately what makes life rich for me is real open hearted connections with people where we realise that we're all the same even though we may look so different from the outside.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live; what goes around comes around; what you focus on you get more of.... I try to be open hearted, greatfull and look at what's going well or what the benefit of a situation is. I do healing and so I also believe that there's a whole lot more to the world than this "physical reality" that we're taught is everything in the mainstream media and education system. And the times that we really start to grow and come into our own is when we put ourselves completely outside of our comfort zones....

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I'm new to couchSurfing and I'm on the road so I can only contribute by sharing my journey and experiences as I go along. I do Reflexology and Reiki too which I'd be happy to share with people. I think that couchsurfing is an amazing concept. As someone travelling on my own who wants to meet people as I go along - I couldn't think of a better way of doing so!!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The first major couchsurfing I did was when I first moved to Brighton. I was staying in a yurt-like structure in someone's back garden in November (not warm!). It had a woodburning stove that leaked smoke, and little heat... Not so cosy... Another friend invited me around for dinner and said "just crash on the sofa"... it was bliss, so cosy and warm!! I went and got my bags the next day and ended up there for a month! Don't worry though I'm not looking to stay somewhere for a month at the moment!! :-)

Interests

At the moment motorcyles are quite high on the list.... I also love being out in nature whether it's camping, hiking or just snoozing in the sun! I'm a lapsed yoga and meditation practitioner - I love doing them, but I'm a bit lazy!! ;-) I also love live music (quite varied and eclectic), dancing and singing. And if you want to talk about the meaning of life then I'd love to over a bottle of wine or a cup of tea....

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a really hard time remembering one's I like off the cuff so here's only a couple..
Books - The Time Traveller's Wife, The Alchemist, stranger in a Strange Land, Loving What is, - generally books that are inspiring to me or touch me in some way.
Films - The Matrix (first one), Lost in Translation, Oh Brother Where art Tho, Labrynth, Sci-fi, comedies, not into Horror or real suspense thrillers
Music - A real mix of acoustic chilled to some classics like Bowie, Clash, some Reggae, all sorts really generally a bit of an eclectic mix depending what my mood is - but not really Jazz though.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At the moment it's this trip, I haven't jumped into the unknown quite so deeply and moved out of my comfort zone for many years. Each week I see something that is amazing and beautiful - the landscape is so stunning here - redwood forests to cactus gardens in the desert..... incredible
