About Me

CURRENT MISSION:
Work. Travel. Repeat.

ABOUT ME:
I live in Portland, OR with my husband Ken, two sons, my mom and our blue heeler. Ken and I relocated from Tampa, FL in July '13, settled down in Portland and became a family. We've always love to travel and are trying to keep it up even though traveling with small children make it a bit more difficult than it used to be.

We relocated from Tampa, FL in the summer of 2013 and drove across country, which was pretty amazing. Prior to the move, we scouted the PNW and couchsurfed in Seattle, Bend and Portland. After moving to Portland and hunting for a local job for 9 months, my former CS host reached out asking if I was still looking for a job and got me in touch with his neighbor who was in need of someone with my experience. Less than a week later I was hired and it turned out to be my dream job! I could have never imagined that Couchsurfing would lead to my perfect job but here I am, over 4 years later and absolutely loving it! Super grateful for the CS community!

PHILOSOPHY:
Don't finish one trip without planing the next.

Anything that will crack me up.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Over Christmas '12 we had the opportunity to swim with a pod of spinner dolphins in Honduras. We were out looking for whale sharks for the better part of a day (which we did not find) but we came across the dolphins and jumped in the water with them... it was very cool and made the trip worth it:)

Teach, Learn, Share

Since we arrived in Portland, we've been exploring the PNW and loved the OR Coast, McKenzie River, Sisters, Wallowa Mountains, snowboarding on Mt. Hood, northern CA, Seattle and San Juan Islands. We'd be happy to share our experiences and give recommendations for camping/hiking/dining/sightseeing in the area.
