Présentation
À propos de moi
Hey there! I'm Jen and I am always looking to meet new people and make new friends. I love exploring new places and getting outside my daily bubble whenever I can. I'm super down to earth and always up to make the most out of the day. I've been known for making random friends wherever I go and actually keeping up with them, like on my daily commute, through current and former co-workers and clients. I honor a connection I make no matter where or how it happens.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
There's more rewarding, fulfilling and enriching experience than getting to see a place for the first time than with someone who actually lives there. I read a saying once that the best way to travel is to visit friends, which is exactly what I've been doing, but there are some places I'm looking to go where I don't have friends currently! There's so much I haven't seen of the country I've lived in my entire life and I'm so happy to finally been getting around to see so much more of it.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
I might live in the NYC area but I love my country. I lose my shit anytime I hear She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy by Kenny Chesney, nearly anything by Trace Adkins or Dierks Bentley, or the twang of a lap steel guitar. When I'm not listening to country, I've loved indie rock for most of my life and currently digging St. Lucia and will always have a place in my heart for The Black Keys & The White Stripes.
I'm best known for not having seen whichever movie you think is highly important with few exceptions and been met with total shock and awe at every revelation. I am a sucker for anything Pixar, especially Toy Story but was also surprised to actually enjoy John Wick.
I've been reading a lot of personal development books lately and love hearing about someone else's perspective and how they've made the most of their experiences and how I can harness that to explore my own potential. I loved The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up and Your Money or Your Life. My true pleasure reads though are food-based memoirs, so I scarfed down Jacques Pepin's The Apprentice and Ruth Reichel's Garlic & Sapphires. What's funny is that I used to tease my Dad about only reading non-fiction and now I've down exactly that.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I went swing dancing in Tokyo when I went abroad for my semester in college. I knew hardly any Japanese and didn't even have a great idea where I was going. I had to ask several people where something was and didn't finally figure out exactly where I needed to until I asked someone to draw me a map. It was definitely quite an adventure and a really rewarding experience.

Teach: I'm currently working toward my Personal Training certification and do believe a lifestyle that has elements of wellness, physical & emotional, is possible for us all and pays untold dividends in the long run. I'm always happy to talk about what I've picked up along the way and eager to here other perspectives, approaches and methods.
Learn: I've lived in the Northeast my entire life, so I want to see what life and people are like across this country. There is so much diversity in culture, in values, in life and in food that I want to see what else there is.
Share: I'm reasonably crafty, making wine bottle crafts this past year for friends and family and have certainly be known to stowe away home baked goods for my generous hosts. Am I bribing you to let me stay with you? I'll let you be the judge.
