About Me
My love for travel started after a break up, yes I know it's very cliche. Looking back my three week European journey never seem long enough. I was very fortunate to have met many wonderful people along the way. I' d never find myself to be the typical tourist, venturing to the usual tourist attractions. Well, unless it has the most breathtaking views, then it's definitely worth lining up for. For me it's all about the food...I will travel far and even wait in crowds.
I like to live as the locals do, heading to local markets, shopping, cooking, eating, laughing and sharing heartfelt conversations wherever I go. If you open your eyes you never know what you'll encounter. "One’s destination is never a place but rather a new way of looking at things."
My fondness for street arts has led me down some unsightly paths during my travel, getting lost seem to be a norm but the best is always appreciating the work before navigating back to home base.
It always fascinate me to think if the art I witness will shape and grow with the city or will it be forgotten or replaced shortly after I depart.
"The world is a book. If you don't travel, you only stay on one page."
Current travel dreams: climb Machu Picchu, learn to swim and visit the blue lagoon, see the glow worms in Waitomo cave and go on a safari in Africa.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I first heard about CS while striking up a conversation at an outdoor bath house with another female traveller. She spoke fondly of her many CS adventures.
Nowadays I use it occasionally though I'm still more in favor of spontaneously meeting people and seeing where adventures lead us.
Definitely not for hooking up with strangers through the internet. May I suggest Tinder for such expectations, or try your luck at a pub crawl.
My goal is to meet genuine people who can hold a real conversation when the internet is down. I'm always looking for tips on next vacation plan or who knows even a travel buddy.
And unfortunately with my schedule I can't host. If you read my profile and agree, please message.
Interests
Cooking, photography, hence the food selfies.
language exchange, street art, singing operas in the shower, learning the harmonica.
Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite book is still Where's Waldo. He's living my dream, always traveling to exotic places.
I've to admit my taste in music is pretty eccentric ranging from the Temptations, Josephine Baker, Mc Solaar, Stromae, 90s dance, opera, Ed sheeran, kygo, the weeknd, and random one hit wonders!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Drank a Duff beer above the Alps, Homer Simpson would be totally envious!
Diving in head first into Honolulu deep water without knowing how to swim or drive, then operating a underwater submarine to view some amazing sea turtles! And well sleeping through a hurricane on a houseboat.
Street Arts in Budapest and Lisboa :)

What I Can Share with Hosts
My cooking and conversations! I've been told I've have no filter and go into only two states in the heat of deep debates: the quiet polite smile and nods or just simply too honest and blunt. Well, it really depends on the company ;p
