I'll always be a midwesterner at heart, but I've lived most of my adult life outside the US. Europe, Asia, and South America are all places I've called home, while tomorrow means another adventure.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A friend of mine in Raleigh, NC became a CouchSurfing host. His great experiences have inspired me to give it a try.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: My favorites are Father Goose, Fifth Element, Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios. I like smart comedy and a bit of action. I know awkward comedy and drama are all the rage at the moment, and it's kind of a bummer.

Music: Good lyrics you can sing along with? Why, yes, I'll take that.

Books: I tend to inhale books from all genres. Comes with the job, and I love a good, well-told story.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've traveled so much, it's hard to pick one thing. I can say that whale sashimi isn't worth it, the Great Wall of China is, and carrying your own toilet paper is a wise move.

All joking aside, the most amazing thing is how much amazing stuff really is out there. It's not like there's one corner of the world that's definitively awesome and the rest is crap. If you open your eyes and your mind there's no end to wonderful sunsets, beaches, food, and people.
