ABOUT ME

I've been traveling for two years, volunteering in Cambodia, studying in New Zealand, and teaching English for a year in Vietnam. Now I'm living in Marseille, France.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't hosted any official couch surfers, but my house in Hanoi Vietnam was a bit of a hostel. We always had friends who were passing through staying, and friends of friends, and a few people we met while traveling.

兴趣

What I do in my free time really depends on where I am. In Cambodia and Vietnam I spent a lot of time biking around and and exploring parts of the city that are easier to get to with a bicycle. In New Zealand I really enjoyed trekking, and just driving around was beautiful. In Vietnam I was lucky to have a flexible job and I spent a lot of time traveling, I loved being able to get on my motorcycle and drive away for a long weekend. Wherever I am I like reading, writing, meeting new people, exploring new places, eating new food, and just doing as much as I can.

I've just finished Khaled Hosseini's last book, The Mountains Echoed, and I really enjoyed it. I read whatever I find laying around and am enjoying the free downloads of older books on my kindle.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

1) Rode my motorcycle on a ten day trip from Hanoi to the Chinese boarder and followed the boarder East.

2) Slept on a volcano in New Zealand. Unfortunately it was in a bivouac and not a tent which ended up being too cold and made us turn around and not complete our four day trek.

3) Watched the sunset over the river and Notre Dom in Paris.

4) Tried to learn a language with six tones!

I've taught hundreds of hours of English! From Cambodia, where I was volunteering, to Vietnam where I worked for a year. I've taught babies who couldn't even speak Vietnamese yet, to 70 year old nuns. I can also cook a few good things, but I've only just started cooking.
