ABOUT ME

I'm Jenny. I'm spontaneous and fun to be around. I enjoy trying new things and simply living and meeting other people. I graduated with a teaching degree and now I'm trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. My goal is to meet new people and start traveling on some couches. I love talking and hearing new perspectives and sharing my own in a new setting.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to live life to the fullest and take advantage of the vast amount of knowledge that other people can bring to the table. I'm here to learn, not to judge. I'm here to enjoy, not to discriminate. I'm here to love, and not hate. I like people. My goal is to learn other people's perspectives and relate their stories to others.

I can host you! I love meeting new people and I hope to come back and go to a few CouchSurfing events in the Chicagoland area to meet some new people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a few times and it was an incredible experience where I learned so much and enjoyed the time meeting someone from another place. I look forward to hosting more in the future and I hope to have some great experiences while traveling.

I enjoy movies. I enjoy books. I enjoy music. And others get me started on different movie, book, and music tracks.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I climbed up a volcano in Guatemala, I saw this incredible waterfall in Honduras and climbed under it in a cove behind the waterfall, I have met the most magnificent children that inspire me due to their creativity and joy, I took pictures at a portrait studio during the holiday and made gorgeous children laugh. Every day there is an amazing experience or laugh that brings me through the moment. I can't limit this section to only one thing I've done or experienced because there isn't just one. There's gazillions.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know what to do to be a teacher. I know how to get around via public transportation in Chicago. I know how to find good deals on clothes in resale shops (some might call me frugal). I like to try to fix things rather than get them fixed too, so I know how to try new things. I'm creative so I make things up a lot too.

I want to learn so much and I have so much to learn that you could teach me anything. i'm always learning.

Spanish, inspiration, my knowledge of Chicago, a place to stay, joy and excitement (or being chill...depending on you!), introducing you to natives, opening my home to you and sharing my things with you.
