ABOUT ME

I'm a friendly, fun, musical type currently working in East Yorkshire as a speech and language therapist. I love the freedom of travelling, the adventures that come with seeing new places, meeting new people and sharing experiences. I'm an outdoors person, love my walks and exploring, growing up in the Lake District does that to you!

PHILOSOPHY

"Supposing a tree fell down, Pooh, when we were underneath it?" said Piglet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have just had my first couchsurfing experience through travelling with my partner who is an established couchsurfer. We stayed in Dublin with a fantastic host and it has spurred me on to update my profile and hope to have more great experiences!

Interests

Music, travelling, languages, meeting new people, samba drumming, outdoor sports, relaxing with a book, learning new things...the list goes on!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a musician, I love experiencing all kinds of music - sometimes depends on my mood! I enjoy a good page turner, some books I couldn't put down: 1984, The girl with the dragon tattoo series, Lord of the Rings, most recent book was Animal Farm. Movies? Not scary ones...I have tried to get over my fear but it was too much!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Running full pelt down the side of a Mexican volcano in an ash chute - 3 hours hike up, 10 minutes run down!

Teach, Learn, Share

Languages and music - I'd love to share and learn more.
British accents - are just brilliant fun!
I'd love to learn to cook a range of dishes from all over the world too.
