About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Excited to start up hosting again in our new Munich home!
ABOUT ME
After several years of planning, we've made our dream of moving to Germany a reality! Now our efforts are going toward making our new apartment into a home, and exploring our new city.
Right now Jen is studying biology here in Munich, and also enjoys drinking tea, hiking, laughing, cooking, reading, traveling, shopping, walking, picnicking, and laying in the sun.
Eric is working in IT, and likes going on adventures, German beer, computers, traveling, popcorn, cats, movies, and German cars.
We have been together for 10 years.
So that we know you're at least a little interested in your potential hosts and have read a bit about us, include the word "Bloomies" in your CS request or message. We'll be much more likely to take it seriously.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well when we are not so busy (and also when we are!), we host CSers from around the world. In the summer, the requests can just come pouring in, so we often find ourselves constantly greeting new faces. To spend time with so many interesting world-explorers is always inspiring. :-)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
CSing has been the meeting place for many new friends! And whether Couchsurfing friendships develop or really close friendships grow, the attitude of everyone we have met has been FRIENDLY!
We sometimes say that on CSing, the people who we host are already our friends just by coming to stay with us, and then by talking and getting to know one another during their stay, we're just filling in the details. :-)
Interests
We both love to learn new things... Jen is always fascinated by nature, and Eric is more interested in technical things. And, we love to meet new people that can give us their perspective on all kinds of topics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
New Year's Eve in Munich is like nothing we'd seen before. The sheer number of fireworks, in every variety, color, and size, flying in every direction, all going off simultaneously for a solid couple of hours. It's going to be a new favorite tradition. :-D
Teach, Learn, Share
If you make me a dinner I've never eaten before, and teach me how to make it myself, I will be completely overjoyed.
In Seattle, I could take you on a hike, and teach you what berries and herbs you could eat. Here in the Bavarian wildlife, I'm not so experienced, but if we go hiking, we can learn together!
