About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Experiencing what the world has to offer, discovering my creativity and myself outside of routine
ABOUT ME
I finished my degree this past April. After a busy summer f exciting work, I am now traveling Europe with my best friend since grade 1. I bought a one way plane ticket when I graduated so I would give myself the exploration I needed before deciding where and how I want to 'settle' for a while.
I studied for five years at Simon Fraser University in Health Sciences (public health). Throughout my degree I was always traveling, and working various jobs. I have worked for an airline (WestJet), as a research assistant and academic writer, yoga instructor, project manager and of course, at a coffee shop at the start of my degree. I also volunteer my time working in poverty reduction and health policy in BC.
My latest job was working for CityStudio Vancouver where I placed public pianos around the city, started a food rescue program in communities and created a public art mural that 100 people helped paint.
I am a very easy going person that gets along with people well. I am passionate about my work, very authentic by nature and compassionate.
You can visit my website or look me up on LinkedIn for more info.
PHILOSOPHY
To always be expanding and experiencing while striving for happiness, love and fulfillment.
Throughout my life I hope to always be learning about this world, about peoples stories, and about myself.
To be happy and fulfilled in my intention and following my dreams no matter how big.
I feel rich because of my amazing support network of family, friends, and mentors.
Formally, I have studied the philosophy of yoga and do carry it with me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am currently traveling on my own and am very interested in staying with locals. I've been on the road for 5 months now.
In my previous travel experiences I have been fortunate enough to mostly stay with family and friends, or with families that have taken me in. I am eternally grateful for all the hospitality I have encountered around the world!
I love seeing places from a local's perspective and favorite spots and activities. This is why I choose Air B&B and Couch Surfing when traveling.
I don't remember the last time I stayed in a hotel.
Interests
I love photography, sustainability, holistic health, and recently picked up dancing for the first time. I love trying new things. I adore nature, mountains, oceans and try to get our of the city for a hike as often as I can when I am at home in Vancouver. If I could watch a sunset every night I would be a very happy girl. I love reading, tea, being cozy and getting to know new cultures (especially through cooking!)

Music, Movies, and Books
ooooh I love reading and music.
A few of my favorite books include Brave New World, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Stardust and of course Harry Potter ;) and am currently reading Ghost Map.
I enjoy a wide variety of music and love being introduced to new sounds. From jazz and classical while I work and study, to folk music on a walk to electronic and Broadway; I love it all!The last concert I saw was a Tribe Called Red. I had never danced so hard in my life. It was a brilliant show!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
