Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I choose couchsurfing because its the best way to connect to the local community and learn the unique culture of the area. There is nothing better than traveling a new city with a local who know the history of the community and can be a guide to the best places to visit in their area. It also allows to create meaningful relationships by engaging and sharing thoughts and experiences.

Interests

I am interested in FOOD. I love it and I gotta have it. I am always looking to try new and local foods in different areas of the world.

I also enjoying staying active whether that be hiking, biking swimming, dancing or etc. Joining in on activities helps to create positive and memorable trips.

Music is also another love of mine. I'll listen to just about anything as long as it is good. Haha but what constitutes good you ask? Well let's save that for another conversation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I would say something that I've done that I am extremely proud of is Teaching Abroad in Cartagena, Colombia. I had the opportunity to teach at a community college where I worked with students from a poverty stricken population. It was incredible to see them overcome the obstacles of their challenging situations to gain an education. They taught me just as much as I taught them and I feel I was able to gain a very large second family.
