About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live, love, eat, travel, explore and learn as much about ourselves and world as possible!
ABOUT ME
We have been best friends for five years, and have lived together for three of those years. We collect A LOT of silly kitchy vintage things... between the two of us we've owned enough vintage dresses and jackets and antiques to decorate a small village.
Things we have done together: Road tripped to Mexico and rode horses on the beach, covered our bodies with temporary tattoos, acted in plays together, sang a lot of songs, explored a lot of new cities in matching outfits, spray-painted most of our apartment (including our television and ACCIDENTALLY our non-cat's tail) gold, took in a stray cat only to find out it was our neighbors, danced in small old-man bars, and much, much more!
PHILOSOPHY
Cliche as it may be, I think we both believe in living life to it's fullest. We want to get as much out of our days as we can - meet people, love people, see things we never thought we'd see. We like to learn, we like to eat, we like to enjoy the little things that happen in our lives. I think we both try to make sure that we're always appreciating what is happening around us and embracing the opportunities that come our way. And we like laughing. And making other people laugh, too.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
While we're new to the website, we certainly have had many many people sleeping on our couches, or pitching tents in our backyard. We think that the kindest and most wonderful people are those who are willing to host strangers, and we also think it's the best way to get to know a place quickly and honestly.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have couchsurfed ALL over Europe, and made many wonderful friends along the way. We LOVED it, and hope to do some more CSing in the future.
Interests
making delicious dinner, drinking wine and socializing, dancing (even in strange places!), singing, telling stories, exploring, getting lost, EATING GOOD FOOD, sewing old clothing into cute little outfits, shopping for cheap old clothing (!), playing the guitar and improvising songs about the people around (jen), being super arts-and-crafty, writing short stories/poems and reading good books (remy), and so so so much more. I can't even remember right now!

Music, Movies, and Books
Remy will read anything she can get her hands on. We both listen to almost all music, and like to dance a lot. We probably listen to folk-y music the most, both new and old. We like movies, although Remy sometimes falls asleep during them. Jen has a soft spot for romantic comedies, and they both like good movies as well as movies that are so bad they're good.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Jen bought a one way ticket to Europe. Remy followed her.
Teach, Learn, Share
Jen is a master guitar player/songwriter (http://myspace.com/jenniferallcott), and Remy really likes making things with her hands - knitting, embroidery, making books, and all sorts of other things. Remy is really great with kids of all ages, and loves spending time with children. We both studied theater in college, and on top of that, Jen is great with psychology, and Remy knows a ton about literature. They both love to cook, and each have a few secret recipes up their sleeves.
