My boyfriend Jake and I are traveling around working on farms, we were in Hawaii for over a year, now we're traveling Europe for a while!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Someday when we're not traveling and have a home we will love to have couchsurf guests. I can imagine when we are in one place we will miss being on the road, but having travelers is like a little glimpse back into that world.
For now, I love staying with locals, it's the best way to travel and make great friends.

Interests

I run, enjoy outdoor activities and shows, love meeting good people in my travels. Exploring new places, music, cooking, wine and beer.
I like everything really, there's a time for activities and a time to chill at home.

Music, Movies, and Books

Festivals are my favorite, but any show is good. Always music playing, reading is great, I'm trying to do all the classics. I enjoy Steinbeck.
I have been to Bonnaroo 4 times, Jazz Fest in New Orleans and another festival in Deleware.
We both lived in Tennessee and there's a great music scene there, Jake has been to Bonnaroo 7 times.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Americorps NCCC, which is like Peace Corps but in America.
We both did it at seperate times, I was based in California, Jake in Iowa.
I learned how to build houses from the ground up, being assigned to one family's house in New Orleans really created a bond with them that I will never forget.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't think there's a whole lot, we are seeking out agricultural educations in the process of working on farms. I suppose we're decent at growing stuff so we could talk about that but we have a lot more to learn.
We're just regular people seeing the world on a budget, but we love to share conversation and whatever else we might know!
