My name is Jen from Taiwan, an island that has beautiful mountains, rocky beaches, and great food. I like coconut, craft beer, and any nice drink that accompany good times. Cooking and food are my love language.

I was in Mexico during the pandemic and decide to live in this rich food and cultural land, during these 3 years I got closer to nature and enjoy life in a gentle way. I opened a restaurant in Chiapas state, and sold it to my chef.

Now traveling in Asia and soon going to see Turkey for the first time. It feels good to get on my journey again and I can't wait to have nice conversations with the people I meet on the road, which is you, who is reading this now. Very nice to meet you! 😊

Welcome to Taipei, the place I called home! I would like to share with you the culture, neighborhood alley, and of course the amazing food.

My favorite dish is my Mom's taro coconut milk with sago, she makes it as welcome home food whenever I come back to Taiwan after traveling. I then show her the travel photos while eating the soup.

My CS journey starts from my gap year as an Aupair in Sevilla, Spain. It was a mind-blowing experience with my local host family and friends. I enjoyed the relaxing lifestyle there. Those culture shocks made me think deeper and travel with more awareness.

I worked for an online travel platform and enjoy life as a remote worker. What travel means to me keeps changing, but the curiosity of people and the world keeps growing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The first idea was to save money to travel to more places. Things went wild and far beyond my expectation!

The best part is to stay close to people who have a passion for life and travel and spend time together in the city they love. We shared stories, culture, and food. That makes my journey memorable.

Interests

I like dancing Salsa, cooking with music, and chilling out on the terrace. I like trying new things, life is about experiences.

I love cooking. A good meal is a good start to a friendship. I like to invite friends to my house for dinner parties.
