I want to explore new cities and cultures, make connections with new people, and get out of my head enough to see the world and people for who they are.

ABOUT ME

I am an artist and am inspired by what I do, see, and experience. So I love to travel, eat amazing foods, and like variety and new things, even when they make me cautious or shy. I love conversation and personal connections, so talk a lot but have a sense of humor. When I visit a new place, I enjoy seeing all the art exhibits, especially contemporary shows of artists working today or lesser known art shows or installations, as well as enjoying good food and drink and exploring the city by walking around. I make art as often as I can, I read a lot of books (mostly literary fiction), and enjoy movies and well prepared food. I also work in illustration and design at a publishing company, doing book covers, drawings, and page layout for textbooks. I also am interested in art that happens outside museums, on the street, or in the home. I ran an apartment gallery from my home for a year and showed installation art exhibits, and am interested in other people's similar projects.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to experience things and broaden my horizons, even if doing that gets me out of my comfort zone and seems scary... I want to enjoy my time and learn new things, not work all day every day at something I don't like, because I want even necessary moments to be fulfilling and invigorating.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Dali museum in Figueres, Spain is amazing because he helped design it and the art is integrated into the building, the building is very strange and nontraditional, and the space truly changed the ways in which you viewed the art
