About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm a nice and happy person who loves spending time with my friends. I love traveling, though I haven't done that very much yet (a reason why i signed up here :D). I can be a bit shy when meeting new ppl, but I do like getting to know new ppl :) I love talking English and would love to learn Spanish! :D
PHILOSOPHY
Make the best of what you've got! And I've gotten the chance to do some traveling. In 2011 I was in Los Angeles, USA where I did a 4-month-long internship. In 2012 I was in Shanghai, China studying with two of my friends (for about 3 months). When we finished our studies we traveled to both Tokyo, Japan and Sanya, Hainan! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Had my first, and my only Couchsurfing experience so far, in May 2012 when I spent 5 nights at a really nice American guy's place with two of my friends while visiting Tokyo, Japan. The experience couldn't have been much better and I'm happy that was my first Couchsurf! :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I love watching tv and movies, and I also enjoy reading. My absolute favorite is Harry Potter, yes, I'm a huge Potterhead! Other than that I watch everything from Friends and Grey's Anatomy to The Walking Dead. I'm a bit of a tv series nerd. I enjoy music but mostly listen to what's on the radio. I like the charts but I also love country music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to England all by myself to be an au pair in a really nice family :) I spent 5 months there in 2008.Then I went to the USA in 2011 for a 4-month-long internship in Beverly Hills, CA. I lived in Los Angeles, and loved it!
In April 2010 a friend of mine and I went on a trip to London. What was supposed to be a week long trip ended up being 5 nights longer than that. We took a flight from Turku, Finland to Gdansk, Poland on Sunday night. We spent the night at the airport and took the next flight to London, UK on Monday morning. We were supposed to fly back home to Finland via Gdansk on Sunday that same week. Because of the volcanic ash cloud coming from Iceland we got stuck in London. We got on a bus on Tuesday night and got from London to Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The busride took 11 hours! After a lot of wondering if we would ever get back home to Finland we finally got on a plane on Thursday night. We were supposed to fly via Copenhagen, Denmark to Turku but on the way to Copenhagen we had to make a stopover in Hamburg, Germany. We missed our connecting flight to Turku and had to spend the night at a hotel in Copenhagen. Finally on Friday morning we got on a plane that took us to Turku. Home at last! It was an adventure that I will never forget :)
Places I've visited: Finland (where I live), Sweden, Norway (only daytrip), Denmark (Copenhagen airport and a night at a hotel) plus a class trip that lasted for about three days in 2012, Estonia, Amsterdam (from bus station to airport, a night and almost two whole days at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol), United Kingdom (lived in Cambridge for 5 months, visited London several times), USA (lived in LA and did a 4-month-long internship in Beverly Hills, CA), China where I studied for almost three months as well as traveled a little bit, and Japan where I spent almost a week after my studies in China.
