About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To pet every dog who crosses my path
ABOUT ME
I am a 36 year-old woman who dotes on her awesome Wheaten Terrier mix rescue dog way too much. I left a successful but over-stressful career in the nonprofit (health and human services) world and am in the process of re-educating myself toward the goal of becoming a designer and artist.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like to do volunteer work in social media and admin for community health clinics and community acupuncture clinics--have decided my involvement with nonprofits will be volunteer-oriented from now on. Excited to explore a life with more room to create!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have not had any experience yet through this site, but have been a natural couchsurfer (and host) many times in my life for short and long periods. I love staying in a home rather than a hotel, and I welcome the chance to share my hospitality with other travelers once I am settled in Denver later this summer. I'm a big fan of the informal economy in general, and love seeing how much people can do for and with each other once distrust and financial gain are no longer relevant.

Music, Movies, and Books
Miramax films, Woody Allen, Poirot and Marple Masterpiece Mysteries...
Almost all music but not one to catalog my musical tastes. Current fave is probably Neko Case.
Love experimental fiction, modernism (especially by women: Stein, Woolf, Barnes), and will read absolutely any English country house murder mystery--guilty pleasures!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last month, I was over at Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle, and I was approached by a stunningly unique transgendered woman who, despite her meth-ulcered teeth, was such a fascinating person. We talked and she ended up giving me this amazing drawing she had made of a cat-person on roller skates with six human-like breasts. I love randomly amazing experiences like that!
