I was told by a Greek guy in a mall in Chetumal, Mexico that there are no great white sharks in the Mediterranean. "Why?" I asked. He replied without a hint of doubt on his face, "because I do karate." A normal reply to that, (which turned out to be my reply) was, "why does that have anything to do with great whites?" Baffled, he looked at me with wide eyes, "because I go in the water and do karate on great white sharks. They go away and don't come back." I reiterated this completely logical scenerio with a compressed face that looked like I was taking a shit, as I tried to hold back from laughing directly in the man's face. He was dumbfounded that I didn't believe in his abilities. I threw my head back and laughed like a Pez dispenser, a full bodied laugh, mouth completely open so you could see all the way down to my tonsils, my hand resting on my ribcage feeling the vibrations of pure joy. I shook his hand and walked away.

I'm all about the ocean. I love scuba diving, backpacking, traveling, people watching, and petting random dogs for hours .

I once followed a cat for 45 minutes while continuously petting it. I thought that since it kept coming back for more that it meant it was enjoying itself, until after almost an hour, it turned around and grabbed ahold of my hand and sunk it's teeth down to the bone. I squealed, he let go, and I can't blame him for biting me...now I know to only pet a cat for 44 minutes.... ha ha )

My favorite songs are two that my dad wrote and that I've been hearing him play my whole life while I sat on the floor in front of his big recliner while he played his acustic guitar....and Bob Segar, Turn the Page, of course.
