I love meeting new people and finding new experiences. Very low maintenance but, with way to much energy. Avid runner, cyclist, hiker, beer snob and lover of all things four legged and fluffy (except bears, they will friggin trash a fun weekend quick!) I want to meet people, see places and chase dreams.

Currently planning a fall voyage through Iceland, Ireland, Venice and other spots between. I am looking to find locals along the way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have a few friends that have been couchsurfing for a while. I decided it was time to give into my wanderlust and go explore this lovely little chunk of rock we call home.

Interests

Mountains! Beautiful rocky lung murdering things that they are. There is something about them that gets in your blood. Might have something to do with being raised in a prairie (Illinois). I've done the Rockies in the US and Canada, punch drunk on low oxygen and trying to find the balance between leaning far enough over the edge to see everything and that bad teeter totter point where gravity decides it's time to cuddle. I would have made a wonderful goat :)

There is something strangely fulfilling about having Mother Nature completely kick your ass simply by doing nothing other then tempting my inner monkey to prove itself.....and lose in a memorable fashion.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a stack of books on my nightstand and schizophrenic IPod. Favorites vary by the season. Though I will never turn down Heinlein or Asmov. And old punk and bad 90's makes me miss my combat boots damn they are comfy once you break them in for years :)

I try to make the random strangers I meet smile. It seems a waste to encounter someone and not leave them in a better place than you found them...

Cooking, I LOVE full combat, fight for space, my grandma knew more than yours, all in group cooking. The kitchen is an arena on which to unleash your sensory gladiator
