I am hoping to grow through new experiences and interacting with others. I am excited to explore and have life-changing adventures!

ABOUT ME

Intuitive, creative, honest. I like learning from spontaneous adventures and interactions with folks who have different perspectives than my own. We have so much to learn from each other and so much to teach each other. I identify as queer. I like playing around- with words, with my comfort zones, with imagination, with people (;D). In general, i want to recognize the beauty in people and the world; it can be heartbreaking but its beauty is can also leave us breathless and I'm thankful for these experiences.

PHILOSOPHY

Personal Philosophy: we must be committed to each other and help each other grow in the ways that we individually and collectively want to. There's so much we can learn from each other. Life can be difficult, but if we support each other and have a community to lean on, we can make the world much brighter for each other and ourselves.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate by sharing my experiences and my stories. I think we can learn a lot about the world we live in by sharing our experiences with each other. I like giving advice, my perspective, and my compassion to others.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a first-timer! The only couch-surfing I've done has been outside of the website, while trainhopping =)

兴趣

I love art: I am a dabbler in a lot of different crafts, collaging, sewing, drawing, bead-work.

I also love languages and fostering communication. I have been studying American Sign Language for five years and learning about ASL and Deaf culture has been a, literally, eye-opening and mind-open experience for me.

BOOKS! I love them! Favorites: His Dark Materials series, Tell Me How Long the Train's Been Gone, If Beale Street Could Talk (James Baldwin, in general), The Island, The Little Prince, The Women of Brewster Place, The Last Song of Dusk, many others... currently trying to get back into poetry.

Movies: What Dreams May Come, Almost Famous, Head Over Heels, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Good Will Hunting, Chocolate, Meryl Streep movies, Illusions (Julie Dash), Quartet, Little Miss Sunshine, Children of Men, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry (definitely some problematic aspects but I liked the fairly positive mainstream representation), Beauty and the Beast, Love Actually, Garden State....

Sunrises- in Montana, over lakes surrounded by forests, over deserts. There is something amazing in even the smallest, simplest details of life.
