Hello! My name is Jenna Mitchell, and I will be traveling to California and staying for the month of July for the BODYTRAFFIC dance company's 2016 Summer Series that I was selected to participate in this summer but need a place to stay. The project will be held at the studios of LMU and I'm hoping to find somewhere close / within a walking distance to the University --- or with a bus stop nearby in order for me to get to and from home to LMU and LMU to home everyday.

I've been dancing since I can remember and began my training at age 2. :] Currently I'm still pursuing dance, while simultaneously delving into the multitude of art forms / nature / science / architecture / culture / sculpture / drawing / poetry / writing / etc etc etc that inspire me, and have been researching ways of integrating all my loves and passions and disjointed inspirations / fascinations with that of my creative approach and choreographic / compositional process and point of view as a means of collaborating / combining all the resources / origins of inspiration or spark to see what can happen when they're at play / mixed with each other.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently met a man from Santa Monica who is full of life and who I instantly connected with on a multitude of intuitive, instinctual, and intellectual levels, and who I grew to trust and respect immensely the more I got to know him -- through meeting this man and listening to his stories from past travels and individuals he stayed with / that 'hosted' him that contributed tremendously to each one of his experiences, I was informed of "couch surfing.com" and it's sincere and trustworthy system (being that... well, it takes two to tango and if one person trusts a complete stranger to stay with them in their home, and in their place of personal and private space, then ... well... there's two options in my head; either a.) the person is a creeper and just using this site to lure people to their homes... ? OR b.) that person is a kind and generous human being who believes in paying it forward and perhaps has had experiences of their own in which 'strangers' extended their generosity with them and thus, they are paying it forward now to those who they come across seeking or in need of the same thing -- and in this case I not only align with this person but also trust the hell outa em. :] and am grateful! Tremendously grateful for their generous and kind and selfless extension of their homes / hospitality.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

:] Listen, explore, travel, share, actively and intuitively choose and direct the path in which I create / choose to walk / experience. ... But I believe all I've 'done' up until now = not even the half of all that is to come, yet I'm sincerely filled with gratitude, peace and not a single regret in regards to my past... I'm just too damn hungry for life to even claim that all I've done up until this point is satisfactory ... or enough ... it is enough for what is was and is when I think of it now, but my beliefs are pretty strong in the idea that it won't ever be enough as long as I'm alive. :] It'll be enough when I'm dead and that's how I like it. :] ;]
