I grew up in a small town in Michigan. I moved to North Carolina in January of 2019 and I am currently living in North Carolina, 15 minutes from the beach. I have a Great Dane/Mastiff mix dog. She's almost 2 years old. I enjoy running and being active outside.

I'm backpacking through Australia with my roommate from college. We are looking for cheaper options and we are hoping to build friendships that continue once we return to the U.S. Some of our best travel experiences have been created by meeting local people and taking them up on their advice and suggestions. We stayed with a family in Italy and had some of best homemade pasta EVER. Another time, we joined a group of Germans that were on their way to a bar for a night out. I hope to have a good experience with couch surfing and pay it forward when I return home.

I studied abroad in Antarctica. I lived on a ship for two weeks while studying the impacts of humans on the wildlife in Antarctica and the surrounding areas.

I want to learn anything and everything people are willing to teach. Specifically in Australia, I hope to go snorkeling, learn to surf, and enjoy the cuisine.
