Overview
About Me
I've only just realized that perhaps I should stop saying I'm a recent grad after 2 years, and that might be representative of where I'm at in life. I live in Chicago, recently worked at a medium sized publishing house for two years, and am currently self-employed as a designer and editor.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've heard great things about CS, and I love the idea of meeting people more easily when traveling. (I also love the idea of not paying for hotels!) Growing up, most of my families traveling was to see other family. It's only been recent that I've started to realize, hey, I can go wherever I want if I can get there--and can afford to get there! And that's where I hope couch surfing will come into play.
Interests
I love design and have considered going back to school for it. I also really enjoy editing, and I've been working on picking up more of it as freelance work.
I typically read all the flippin time, but I recently stopped needing to commute every day and have been figuring out where to re-insert reading into my new routine.
I also knit, can do some basic sewing, and other various mildly-boring things.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books are my thing. Some favorites are I Capture the Castle, anything Neil Gaiman, The Golem and the Jinni, Jojo Moyes's novels, The Night Circus, The Red Tent, Mistborn, and the Handmaid's Tale.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would not be completely suprised with myself if I showed up with a book to give, if I knew what my hosts were into.
Countries I’ve Visited
