I've been very lucky to have visited, lived in and experienced many incredible countries and travel is one of my greatest passions. I love colour, music, dancing, laughing, art, culture, history, and great food. I'm independent, look for the positives, and people are always telling me that I'm very chilled and have a very calming influence. This always amuses me as I know that in my brain it's often far less chilled - as with most people! I love yoga, water, nature, learning, holistic approaches to self care and wellbeing, personal growth. I am in the process of changing my career path from office work (which has always felt soul sucking and pointless) to something more purposeful; helping children, especially, and adults to manage stress and anxiety. I'm not sure of the path I'll be taking into this - any ideas, suggestions, recommendations are very welcome! - but 2019 is the year!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to explore new places and meet new people and the best way to experience a place is with someone - or the recommendations of someone - who knows that place! I've done a lot of travel, mostly on my own (and I do enjoy doing things on my own) but, it's the people I then meet that really make an experience for me. I currently don't have a place that I could offer to other couchsurfers but it is something I look forward to being able to do in the future. I know how intimidating it can be to be in an unfamiliar place and I also know that travel can be an expensive hobby. I've been really lucky on my travels and had people extend great kindness to me, to be able to do that for someone else would be such a great joy for me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have an eclectic taste when it comes to music and like everything bar thrashy, screamy, metally stuff. I'll pretty much read any book, though I struggle with autobiographies and I've never picked up anything sci-fi, though I'm not averse to a sci-fi flick. I'll watch any movie going except for gorey horror stuff.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm not a chef but I'm very happy to cook a meal to show my gratitude and do dishes as well. I'm very neat and tidy and will keep the space offered to me in good order. I don't stay up late, party, smoke or drink a lot (the occasional beer or glass of wine) - but whatever I am drinking I happily share. I'm really very quiet - if not a little too quiet as I often seem to give people a fright by apparently appearing from nowhere with silent footsteps! This is not intentional, I assure you!
