MY MANTRA:
Be silly. Be honest. Be kind.

ABOUT ME:
So moving across the world a year ago has given me the opportunity to be submissive to myself. This was a chance to push and challenge my mind, concentrate on my interests and passions, rediscover what drives my personality and ultimately disregard anything that isn't vibing correctly in my life without consequence.

That puts me on couch surfing with an open mind, ready to figure out who I'm genuinely compatible with, because I truly believe it should be natural and easy.

I love to laugh and am usually the quirky one in the group, but when it comes down to it, I understand the line when it's essential to be serious.

I try almost anything (within reason) and everything once. I learn from my mistakes and although non confrontational, will seek advice from those trustworthy friends when necessary.

I like to acquire random knowledge and skills; currently trying to master hoola hooping, backhandsprings and ukelele.

The things I miss the most about Canada other than the obvious family and friends are the canoe and camping trips, snowboarding, teddy grahams, root beer and the serenity of my cottage.

My favorite sports to play are baseball and volleyball, but still love the rest. My favourite band is Of Monsters and Men. Really into apples and peanut butter as a snack. I don't like olives. I don't like rude people and will be wary of how someone orders their meal, asks for a favor or speaks ill of others.

I will happily snuggle up in bed and watch a series of almost any tv show, then again my personality won't allow many nights of that in a row until I start itching to go out for casual drinks or try a new restaurant on my list. I'm a list girl. Really learning a lot about myself by writing this, so thanks.

Comfortable in my morning reading on the train to work and biking home routine. After I get too comfortable in a place, I'll get a serious travel bug and need to get out to immerse myself in a new country and culture. After all is said and done, I believe I'll find out where to really call home.

Teach, Learn, Share

THE PHYSICS OF THE QUEST:

"A force in nature governed by land as real as the laws of gravity. The rule of quest physics goes something like this: if you're brave enough to leave behind everything familiar and comforting, which can be anything from your house to bitter old resentment, and set out on a truth seeking journey, either externally or internally. And if you are truly willing to regard everything that happens to you on that journey as a clue, and if you accept everyone you meet along the way as a teacher and if you are prepared, most of all to face and forgive some very difficult realities about yourself, then the truth will not be withheld from you and life will unfold in the most beautiful and unfathomable ways. "
