Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm currently looking to travel to Istanbul at the end of February, and plan to stay there for 3 months before making my way to other countries and cities in Europe and Asia. Part of what I enjoy about traveling is meeting new people, sharing stories and experiences, so I plan to couch surf with interesting people as much as I can.

I've couch surfed a lot during my travels. I spent the majority of my time traveling for a year and a half at one point, and I always couch surfed instead of staying in hotels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled to Istanbul, Turkey two different times in the summer of 2013 to photograph the Gezi Park protests where I was tear gassed, hit with water cannons, and shot at with plastic bullets.
