Hey! I'm Jenna. I'm 25 years old.

Here is my post college life in a nutshell...

Graduated from Syracuse University. Got a job in advertising in NYC. Hated it. Left. Became a dance and yoga teacher. Loved it! Left NYC (too much rent $$) to work at an amazing environmental summer camp. Traveled to Costa Rica for 4 months. Got back and worked at the camp again as a farmer and left in the fall. Now I am on a road trip across the country trying to figure out where I want to stay for a while.

Life is so much fun. There's so much to do, so much to see, so many people to meet. Currently in my life, I would call myself an experience collector and a spiritual adventurer.

I am continuously baffled by humans. I've been reassured time and time again that despite all the crap happening in the world there are some amazing people out there with amazing stories and incredible things to share.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's so much more fun staying with cool people than in a hotel.

I can't wait until I settle somewhere and host people myself!

I've had the opportunity to stay with some amazing people thus far through WWOOFing and friends of friends of friends. It's been quite an adventure.

Interests

I love dancing! I grew up dancing and was a contemporary dancer and choreographer in NYC. I also teach dance to kids.

I do yoga. I'm certified in Power Vinyasa and Danyasa (Dance+Yoga). I like teaching kids much more than adults.

I love playing my guitar. I'm self taught, so I like to mess around and learn new songs on the interweb and from friends.

I enjoy crafting. I have a bunch of beautiful beads that I inherited, so I like to make jewelry.

I love reading, especially non-fiction, but really all books. All I need is a good cup of coffee and a book and I'm set.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music, it varies a lot. Anything from Beyonce to Cat Stevens depending on my mood.

Movies, nothing scary. My favorite romantic comedy is Never Been Kissed. I also love watching documentaries. I also love analyzing a good Sci Fi movie.

Books, non-fiction about psychology or environmentalism or food are my favorites. My favorite recent fiction book is Little Bee.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I travelled to Costa Rica for 4 months on my own not knowing a word of Spanish.
