About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To obtain the perfect coffee maker

ABOUT ME

I dance really badly & my hair does 90% of the work

PHILOSOPHY

Live life without pretence & give it if someone else needs it more.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted about a dozen people with my previous flatmate, but was too lazy to get myself a profile and missed out on feedback :(

I now have an awesome new flatmate (Andy) and I'm excited about clearing the clutter from our couch to surfers once again!

I'm working up the good karma for when I finally get away! Eastern Europe brace yourselves!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All good so far, made some great friends and want more.

Interests

Beer gardens (preferably ones with big brollys given the wonderful British weather), meeting random people, being spontaneous and getting myself into ridiculous situations with random people spontaneously. Taking photos of things (I'm still at the point and snap level of photography) and then trying to draw them. I love cooking, my bass guitars (Lilith & Emperor Ihsahn), poetry & singing loudly (even when I don't know the words).

Music, Movies, and Books

Mainly rock and metal music, but up for a bit of everything. I love festivals and try to get to one in a new country every year.

Authors/Poets: Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Haruki Murakami, J.D Salinger, Richard Dawkins, Roman Dirge, Emily Dickinson, John Donne, Edgar Allen Poe, Lawrence Miles...

Films: Battle Royle, Napoleon Dynamite, Little Miss Sunshine, Zatoichi. I have a pretty big Japanese film collection.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw Jesus crowd surf in Belgium.

Teach, Learn, Share

Manchester was named named Mamucium by the Romans, which means "breast shaped hill"

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Spain, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United Kingdom
