Music, Movies, and Books

I like indie acoustic stuff mainly. Boy and Bear, Arctic Monkeys, and Dan Mangan are probably my favourite musical artists. I really like classic rock too.

Current favourite book is The Happiness Advantage by Shawn Achor - highly highly recommended!! It'll change the way you view the world (I hope).

Favourite movies are Back to the Future and 500 Days of Summer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moved to Thailand to teach without knowing anyone here.

Also one time I convinced a guy to get a tattoo on his inner thigh (yes, he was drunk). It was his first tattoo, and I never saw him again. I don't think that counts as 'amazing' but I really like that story.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning about different cultures, so the more you can show me the better! Getting off the tourist track is high on my list of priorities, so the fewer foreigners there the better!

I can talk for hours and hours about travel and living abroad. I've done 5 international moves in the past decade, and think its fascinating how a person's environment can shape them (and therefore how a mix of environments can shape someone). I like having conversations about books I've read and documentaries I've watched.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook for you if you want! I'm not a 5* chef or anything, but I'm happy to whip something up. If you have an oven I'll totally bake for you as well - living in Thailand has been great, but I am seriously missing making cookies, cupcakes and cakes.
