About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To redirect, realign, and realize the actualization of my immediate future.
ABOUT ME
I lived in Brooklyn for 3 years after graduating from college. During that time I also lived in Portland, OR for a few months. I've been back in my home state of Ohio for the past year. I've worked in politics, as a nanny, in food service, at a school for students with behavioral problems, as a freelancing violinist, and now I'm getting ready to start a year of service in AmeriCorps in Crescent City, CA! I'm really excited to drive across the country and start a new chapter and live on the coast and amongst redwoods. I love cats and tea, coffee and owls. I've played lots of orchestral music, as well as avant/free jazz, indie folk, art rock, ambient/drone/noise, fluxus/performance art, and most recently old time/bluegrass. I am a last-minute planner. I love deadlines and momentous movements.

PHILOSOPHY
To love, to learn, to challenge, to empower, to support. Whatever you give your attention to grows. EXPERIMENT. Today is THE DAY.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
By being Present.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My friend Sarah and I traveled in Europe for 2 months last summer and couchsurfed most of the way. We met many wonderful people and have many fantastic memories as a result!
Interests
Fully enjoying the moments that make me smile, having random conversations with employees at businesses I patronize, eating delicious food, cooking, playing in orchestras, playing weird experimental music that not very many people like or understand, going to see live music, singing, laying around in parks, taking walks, meditating, riding my bike, yoga, crafting, meeting new people, exchanging ideas.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I helped rescue stranded baby bats in the Western Catskills at The School of Making Thinking on a Day of Silence. Many people were involved in the completely nonverbal rescue of these amazing little creatures.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to share music-making! In many ways, I think that making music with people encompasses teaching, learning, and sharing simultaneously. I play the violin, viola, piano, and recently have been learning the ukulele. I love to improvise!
