ABOUT ME

I am a recently-graduated MA student! I am an open-minded and friendly easygoing person, have worked as a server in a restaurant and a barista for many years in Canada. I love to read, cook, bake, knit, see live theatre, perform, sing badly, and get lost in new cities.

I spent the last year and a half studying as an Erasmus Mundus student studying in Europe between the Netherlands and Finland. I studied International Performance Research (a complicated and fancy version of theatre studies), and am currently in Toronto working for fu-GEN Asian Canadian Theatre Company.

I love to travel and thoroughly enjoyed my time abroad and am waiting for the next time I have the opportunity to get away. I am hoping to travel the East Coast of Canada and the United States over the next year or so.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started out by participating mostly as a traveler-- I got to see most of Scandinavia via couchsurfing! I started meeting up with people for coffee/drinks in Helsinki and showing them around the city, and when I moved back to Amsterdam I began to host travelers.

I love all aspects of couchsurfing, have met a couple of ambassadors and participated in city events in Amsterdam and hope to participate in a few in Toronto.

I think couchsurfing is a great and accessible way to travel and it is fantastic for seeing things in a new city you might never find as a tourist.
