After spending three years living and working abroad in Australia, then 8 months traveling Oceania, Southeast Asia, and Europe, I'm back in my hometown in California. I plan to spend the rest of this year reconnecting with my family and friends and traveling around the United States before I chin up and get back to the 'real world' for a little while. I'm laid back, I love getting to know new people, and some might even say I'm a little funny. I believe in living life without regrets!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'll be traveling around the United States for the last few months of 2015, and would love to meet locals and have an authentic experience. I hosted a bit in Sydney and have met some really great people, so I'm looking forward to being a guest with great people as well!

Interests

Oceans, creatures of all kinds (as long as they don't kill me), being active, trying new things and new places, food, cooking, friendliness, and good conversation. I keep myself busy at home by going to the beach, running, cooking, reading copious amounts of novels, watching too much TV, and playing with my dog.

More than happy to teach English or how to cook any of my favorite dishes from home, make recommendations on some of my favorite novels, give you suggestions on where to travel in California if you're headed that way, anything! I'd really love to just be immersed in whichever culture I'm in - the language, the food, the way of life. And I love to read so any book suggestions are very much welcomed!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can COOK - breakfasts, lunches, and dinners that you will love. I really enjoy it and I have a knack for making even healthy food taste delicious. So of course I would be more than happy to cook any host a meal or two! And it doesn't have to be healthy if you don't want. :)

I can help you practice English if you need it and can even teach you English [I have a degree in English].
