ABOUT ME

Happy, sociable and relaxed. I am either full of energy raring to go do out doors type things, or totally chilled out and calm. I get on with everyone and find people interesting, and like to be busy helping out with cooking etc round a friend's house than just sitting.

My favourite hobbies include anything to do with the ocean, and dancing modern jive ( ceroc )

I'm travelling now but would love to show you England one day, esp Somerset (and Glastonbury festival) and Cambridge.

I have had many jobs over the years, retail, graphics design, running small business, jewellery, working behind a bar and running a deli/coffee shop. So if you need a hand when I come to visit do say!

PHILOSOPHY

My main aim in life is to be happy and have friends who love me as much as I love them. I feel like I achieve that everyday! But I always love to make more friends as people are so interesting to me. But I have a couple of phrases I also think of often;

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Whilst I had a house I would have given my couch to you all, but now I have left England for my grand travels :) but I just love to meet new people, esp locals who can give me a tour of their favourite places :)

兴趣

I love so many things, I dance ceroc which is modern jive, and I also love swimming ( with a mono fin as a real life mermaid preferably) and travelling. I am a graphic designer by trade but have a huge passion for history and archaeology, and I am interested in so many things I love learning :)
I really enjoy going to museums, and theatre, especially for comedy, but I also love being outdoors, kayaking, cycling, swimming in lakes, hiking etc. I used to be scared of heights but since reguarly climbing the masts of tallships I have mostly overcome that!

I love books. Constant favourites are His Dark Materials, Emma, Pride and Prejudice, Rebecca, Agatha christie's Poirot, Discworld.
I listen to music almost all the time, but I am rubbish and never know what the song is called or who it is by, but I don't think that stops me enjoying it. I especially love music you can dance to :) but also love classical and almost every type.
I love a lot of films but again always forget them. But I mostly like fantasy and comedy, love actually, stardust, In bruges, Amelie, tropic thunder, etc. TV series I like are again comedy, like Spaced, Black Adder, QI, Miranda etc

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Watching the sun come up from a rooftop overlooking the ghat in Pushkar as the calls to prayer rang out.
Singing songs round a camp fire in Thailand with some locals, eating fish we had caught ourselves minutes before :)
Watching dolphins playing under the bow of our tallship at night through bioluminescence, so they looked like golden torpedoes!

I have a degree in graphic design and have run small businesses, so can help out in that. I am very practical and can turn my hand to most things, so if you have a project you want a hand with just show me and I'll be away on it, even just learning to cook your favourite dish would make me very happy :)
