ABOUT ME

This isn't actually all about ME as it is about myself and my lovely roommate Amalia. We are fun lil' ladies who love to explore the country and the world. We love New Mexico, love being New Mexicans and representing Burque wherever we go! We started traveling together when we were 17 when we went to NYC. We like to spend our free time on our bikes, going to music festivals, being with friends, dancing, laughing, drinking, and having an all around good time. Amalia's drink of choice is a gin martini but she shoots Chopin Vodka. I, Jennifer, enjoy Whiskey. Amals graduated with a degree in English and works for a behavioral research company. WE love to explore, learn, and meet new people. We are definitely free spirits.

Amalia and I want to experience the world and all it has to offer. We do not let fear hold us back from anything because if you live life in fear, you are not living life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A community involves interaction and meeting new people, learning their opinions and seeing things from another persons view point. By hosting people in the global community, it opens our hearts, minds, bodies, souls and helps us evolve in our journey through life.

This is our first time trying this out. It has come highly recommended.

Representing the Burque all over the world,music, books, biking, drinking, evolving, meeting new people, traveling, music festivals, learning bout religions, education, higher-education,having fun, camping, wine, dudes that dance and like good music! We have lots of interests. We are definitely renaissance ladies!

Music, Movies, and Books

Beck, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Old Crow Medicine Show, Beirut, The Arcade Fire, Bowie, White Stripes, Flaming Lips, Wilco, Bob Dylan, Radiohead, Prince, Cameo, Peter Bjorn and John...to name a few. We like all kinds of music from almost all genres. Amalia is more into country than I am.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amals and I rode the White Rim Trail in Moab, Utah, on our mountain bikes and through the worst of weather. We rode 165 miles in about 3.5 days enduring rain and snow and battling fierce head winds, almost paralyzing our biking ability, riding through a ditch after climbing half the day. It definitely showed us we have the physical strength and mental strength to accomplish anything.

Teach, Learn, Share

We want to learn your story. We want to see what life is like in your city and hopefully return the favor for you. We want to teach you about our wonderful culture we come from, a mixture of Mexican, Native American, and Americana. We have lots to teach you about our experiences and lots to learn from yours.
