CURRENT MISSION
Making the world a better place through the music of Talking Heads
ABOUT ME
Well when I made this profile I was halfway through my masters in Visual Anthropology at the University of Manchester. It was bascially a course in making documentaries, which means I got to indulge my love of films, storytelling, and a degree at the end of it!
I'm now doing digital communications, first at MSF/Doctors Without Borders and then at the Red Cross. I'm always pushing for more visual content and am really interested in the ethics of photography.
I've got a bit of British reserve. There are few social situtaions that can't be improved with tea. Other than that I'm just your general uncool-but-in-a-cool-kind-of-a-way lady.
PHILOSOPHY
Death is inevitable. What you do beforehand isn't.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hosted a few people when I was in Manchester, but having moved down to London there just isn't the space. I miss it!
Interests
I was a keen cyclist, until I got hit by a car. Now I'm a frustrated and injured cyclist who has been known to scream if a bus passes too closely.
I love to dance. Despite being on my second degree, I still think my most valuable qualification is my GCSE in Dance. It genuinely has prepared me for all party situations.
Also, I heart films. Watching them, analysing them, getting tattoos based on them, making them. The list goes on.
And there is my love/hate relationship with photography. Which I can tell you about in person if you're interested.

Music, Movies, and Books
This could actually be an essay.
I'm a very firm believer in Louis Armstrong approach to music: There are only two types of music: good and bad. Initially I thought the only music I didn't like was metal, but then I watched a documentary on Metallica.
I really love Nicholas Cage. Obviously, he is one of the worst actors of his generation, but having watched Bad Lieutenant and Con Air I have a new appreication for his craft.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Totally made eye contact with Bob Dylan in 2010. He scowled, I swooned.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you a dance move called the crazy legs. It's pretty mad. I also know about six phrases in Zulu, the biography of Virginia Woolf, the basics of film-making...
