Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

On San Francisco: I know the city well...and am bursting with way too much information. Not only do I know the touristy areas, but I know those off-the-beaten-track type things. And if you want ice crema, I am the right person. Want to be a pirate? Want to find drink a coffee that I am sure that you never had before? Want to have an exotic dessert with things that look like eyeballs? Want to go sliding in a secret playground? I know them.

On traveling: I would love to meet other couchsurfers. Because I believe that a local knows their area the best. I am curious about how they see the world—because that's the very reason that I travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to couchsurfing, but I accompanied a friend to an experience once in Dublin, Ireland. I love meeting new people.

However, I have traveled by myself in Europe using airbnb and absolutely loved it. Now I want to try out something new!

Quite often, people ask me what I do. But let me ask you this: have you ever used a phone, a website, a kiosk...you press a few buttons...you enter a few items...and it feels so easy and delightful? That you forget how much you dreaded doing it?

That's what I do. I work in user experience and I will share my expertise.

But now I am writing a book about ice cream around the world! I have a love of sweets and hope to share that with everyone!
