______________________________________________
I'm currently living and working in Danang where I was born and raised, just be back here for 2 year.
Before I used to live in Melbourne, Australia. I'm not a local expert I must say, coz the city changed a lot when I was abroad. But as a host I can give you a lot of recommendation abt things to do, good places to eat, how to get around etc and insights into the culture.

In 2013, I went on exchange to Rotterdam for six months. During that time travelled to many places around Europe. It was absolutely a life changing experience for me.
And I'm an ENTP person, that's pretty much sum up me.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is an adventure.
Never lose hope
The best things in life, they are free (Family, friends, youth...:))

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

One of the coolest things I've been a part of- traveling, exchanging ideas and continuously being inspired.
I started as a guest when I travelled in Europe. Now I'm settling down, start hosting coz when I'm not able to travel and see the world, I want to bring the world to my door step

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had my first and second time surfing in Vienna and Budapest, which were all great. I surfed abt 15 times in Europe and Malaysia, and hosted a lot now (I just don't count)
I participated in weekly couch-surfing meetup and meet great people from different parts of the world while traveling.
I usually organize get-togethers and events for CS community in Danang. We have CS meetings every Saturday night, from 7:30 p.m at 12 Cafe, 12 Nguyen Chi Thanh Street, so come along to meet and mingle with like-minded people.

Interests

I like traveling, of course :), taking photos, cooking and doing volunteer works.
Check out my photo portfolio here: https://500px.com/jenniely
I enjoy doing cool projects, and I'm now a part of Let's do it! Vietnam -a social environmental campaign. We organized cleanup events in Danang city to raise people awareness abt illegal dumping problems. You can find information abt the worldwide campaign here: http://www.letsdoitworld.org/.

I'm passionate abt exchanging travel experiences, cool creative ideas/projects abt community, science, technology, start-up, business etc.

I'd love to meet people in various disciplines, backgrounds but must love sharing experience, doing activities because that's what CS connect people for.

One last thing: I'm collecting postcards and magnets from my travel and would love to collect from anywhere in the world. So if you can bring one from your places/your previous travel destinations I would love to exchange with you one from Vietnam. I have a big world map make from styro-foam and I sticked postcard according to places on the map, you will see it- very cool :).

Also I do book exchange coz I love reading books. I left a few English book on the shelf for people to exchange. It would be more interesting to share your reading with people from everywhere, and who knows your book will travel from Europe to South America :p. And when you leave, don't forget to write me a note- wisdom sharing/quote on a piece of paper, anything, for the memory and will be stick in a board for other CSers to read :).

Those are my ideas to make CS more fun, life is more colorful. Don't forget, Couch-surfing is not only abt accommodation, it's abt CONNECTING PEOPLE!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movie: Bridge of spies, Life of Pi, The pursuit of Happyness, Slumdog millionaire...

Book: Harry Potter, The lost symbols,
Music: listened a lot but most favorite: Home (Michael Bubble), Heal the world, I believe in you (Il Divo), Let's the music heal your soul, Cry on my shoulder...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Survived the -22 Celcius degrees coldness in Rovaniemi, Artic Circle, Finland
- Snorkeling to see the Great Barrier Reef at Cairns, Australia
-Quitted my well-paid student job in Melbourne, went on exchange to Rotterdam for 6 months, travelled by myself to 11 other countries in Europe- definitely a life changing experience.

- Got my bag stolen in Brussels, lost all belongings, no money or IDs left, successfully got back to Rotterdam with the help of different people in different countries. The journeys to apply for all the IDs (as an international student) was a terrible headache but it has inspired me to travel and experience more.

-Hitchhiked from Budapest to Eindoven for 17 hours, 1075 km without any money, learning a lot abt kindness of strangers...

-Went to Sachsenhausen, a concentration camp in Berlin and felt really sad about what happened in the past, but overall it helps me appreciate the peace we have today

Teach, Learn, Share

Ian teach you to cook vietnamese food. I'd love to learn abt your cuisines, playing musical instruments, making crafts...

I taught mathematics to the refugee children, and I learnt a lot from them. Some points in time everyone encounters difficulties. It is not about what challenges you are experiencing, it's your attitude that help you face it. And "Never lose hope" (Life of Pi)

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Cambodia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Sweden
