About Me

I'm rather restless, some say fickle, I don't deny it. I love adventuring, especially outdoors- hiking and camping are some of my favourite things to do. I LOVE exploring other countries/cultures, aiming for 30 by the time I'm 30 so gotta get a move on! I love the outdoors, plants, wildlife, not-so-wild life especially cats and goats, books, making&eating delicious (usually vegan) food.

In September 2014 I accepted a 4-year work/study contract in Canterbury (England) which was a bit scary (I don't usually stay anywhere that long), but so far I've managed to spend a month in Australia, at least a month in Scotland and heading to South Africa/India/Tanzania for 9 weeks this summer (thanks to work funnily enough)! Loving life and can't wait to meet more amazing people and have many more fantastic times!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couch surfing saved me when I got to Vancouver and I had many great experiences hosting once I got a place, I met most of my friends through couchsurfing and I'm constantly inspired by them and others that have crossed my path through this site. Hoping to start hosting again in September/October (currently homeless in a good way)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have surfed and hosted in Vancouver, and surfed elsewhere too. I love meeting people and having travelling pals to explore with!

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: many, I read every day. Some favourites are the Alchemist, Light at the Edge of the World, Three cups of tea...

Movies/TV: Documentaries, Kung Fu movies, Epics/Epic Kung Fu movies, a few shows inc game of thrones but I don't have actual TV, too many mind numbing shows and adverts!

Music: Paul Simon (Graceland is the best album ever), Mungo's Hi-Fi, Peatbog Faeries, Edward Sharpe, Dan Mangan, Xavier Rudd.... folkey stuff- whistling is good, ukeleles are good, LOVE a ceilidh :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I climbed a 14,400ft mountain, it was the most amazing and most challenging thing I've ever done- got to the top, cried, got down and immediately wanted to do it again! I wouldn't have gotten up there without the amazing people who kept me going by feeding me lots of butter (which I think is gross in hindsight) :) Thanks Vadim and Josh x
