My name is Jennifer Chiasson - A Canadian lady hoping to experience the world over between July 2013 to July 2015 while cultivating cultural and professional work experiences as well as to lend a hand!

And hopefully pay it back to others once I've hit stable ground again in one location!

By personal trade: I'm a great cook, I can clean, garden, am very physically strong, I love animals, I love nature, outdoor activities, and social engagement - I'm great at working with people, for people, or independently; quite flexible!

Interesting Hobbies: I enjoy dance and have learned a variety of forms as well as been an instructor for dance, I paint, I enjoy Yoga, pilates, and flexibility training, I enjoy wine and cheese, and cultural sharing. I love the environment, enjoy holistic practices, and am interested in various ways of life.

I am an Anglophone but have a good fluency in French - I love language sharing and would love to learn other languages during my travels.

Currently, I spent a year abroad in France; visited Germany and Switzerland as well. I spent 4 months in Spain as well. placing in Cape town south africa, then giza, egypt, then wadi rum desert, Jordan, then wanting to do a 2 week express tour of italy, then staying a month in the north of italy, hoping to see greece after that, a month then spent in bodrum turkey, and perhaps rounding it out with a stay in Istanbul before heading back to Canada!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm also on Workaway.info - but I joined Couchsurfing because most workstays need longer period stayers - and some of my travel plans involve very short stays in places (such as various cities in Italy).

I'd love to exchange my professional skills but they usually require a stay of at least a month. So I am hoping to find people who are generous and engaging for some of my shorter stays!

I've met so many wonderful people traveling, I enjoy sharing cultural stories, differences, exploring, and sharing company! I also look after the space I am in, lead yoga for those who are interested, or exchange any other skills sets - been know to do some tarot readings for people as well - if you are curious about that sort of thing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all types of music, I feel every genre has it's time and place. I'm a big fan or alternative,rock, grunge - but also love classical, folk, cultural etc

I like A LOT of movies - comes with the film/media degree background. I cannot name one favourite. Too difficult of a task as I appreciate them for different reasons - some cinephile, others just pure entertainment.

I favour books about prepping, self sustainability, but also mystery, fantasy, - I just read "The Alchemist" and it was wonderful!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done many things that amaze myself. My biggest one thus far is what I am doing now. I left Canada, Lived in France for a year and am now taking a year to explore various countries around the world!
